My first order of business was to assemble the welcome bags for all the guests. The view from my hotel window was a source of distraction and prodded me on to finish as quickly as possible ... so my quality control was abominable. If you received a bag with nothing in it but bags of Chex Mix, my apologies!!

After stuffing 50 guest welcome bags, I coerced one of the bellhops to help me get them down to the front desk to hand out to people as they arrived. It was nearly 4 p.m. by the time Mom & I sat down for lunch.
The first day is a blur as there was so much to get done and chaos as people started arriving left & right. Dad, John, and Mike Smith headed out to get their tuxedos - but only Dad's fit, so the guys were stuck there for 3 hours trying to correct the issue.
Poor Jane Johnson arrived at the hotel over 3 hours after her plane had landed - apparently the shuttle from the airport at rush-hour is not such a good idea. Making 12 stops along the way was not predicted - UGH. I was able to intercept Ben & David Johnson to tell them to cab it instead - otherwise we may not see them today!
Mishaps are just part of weddings ... if everything went smoothly, I'd worry!

The Neary/Grossman/Lazzari clan headed out for dinner at 7 p.m. along the Lincoln Avenue promenade. We chose Rosellino's - sitting in the outdoor patio section. The night was balmy - and a great start to a fun weekend! Seated at the table are Joanna Lazzari, Christine Grossman, Jack Neary, Mary Neary, Jim Grossman, John Grossman, Leonore Grossman, Morella Lazzari and Holly Grossman.
The Calonita clan settled on the same place and enjoyed a nice meal together as well.
So nice to have everyone together... we need to do this more often!
